Why NABH is hard for a dental clinic
NABH accreditation for dental clinics is assessed against the Accreditation Standards for Dental Health Service Providers (DHSP), 3rd edition: 10 chapters, 80 standards and 407 objective elements. 77 of those elements are "core" — the ones an assessor treats as non-negotiable.
Most of the work is not the application. It is keeping dozens of registers filled every day for months, and being able to show the right page when the assessor names a clause.
Paper registers fail in a predictable way: they are filled in a rush the night before the assessment, with the same handwriting and the same pen. Assessors notice.
How ORALZY handles NABH
| NABH task | Without software | In ORALZY |
|---|---|---|
| Daily registers | Staff fill paper registers by hand at the end of the day | Registers fill from the day's work. |
| Staff confirmations | Chasing staff to sign | Staff confirm with one tap, on PC or phone. Reminders pop up on both before closing time. |
| — | Reply "HO GAYA" to the evening reminder and every register that can be made with one tap is filled in your name. | |
| SOPs | Word files copied from another clinic | A ready SOP library with your clinic's details filled in, version dates, role-wise sign-off and bulk download. |
| Wall posters | Designed and printed one by one | 53 bilingual (English + Hindi) posters, printed from the app. |
| Readiness check | A consultant visit | NABH mock audit, element by element, before the real assessment. |
| Assessment day | Searching files while the assessor waits | Assessor mode: name a clause and see its SOP and live register evidence. |
| Audit file | Photocopies | The whole NABH file — SOPs, posters, registers, staff and doctor files — in one ZIP, or as a single evidence-binder PDF. |
Built on the DHSP 3rd edition
Every register, SOP and poster in ORALZY is tied to the objective element it is evidence for. The 10 chapters of the standard and how many elements each carries:

|---|---|---|
| AAC — Access, Assessment and Continuity of Care | 68 | 5 |
| COP — Care of Patients | 34 | 4 |
| MOM — Management of Medication | 49 | 12 |
| PRE — Patient Rights and Education | 46 | 10 |
| IPC — Infection Prevention and Control | 39 | 13 |
| PSQ — Patient Safety and Quality Improvement | 29 | 4 |
| ROM — Responsibilities of Management | 20 | 3 |
| FMS — Facility Management and Safety | 29 | 8 |
| HRM — Human Resource Management | 57 | 10 |

NABH is part of the clinic software, not a separate tool
Standalone NABH tools ask staff to enter everything a second time. In ORALZY the NABH file is a by-product of running the clinic: appointments, treatments, prescriptions, pharmacy, staff attendance and training all write their own evidence. The same system is the clinic's practice management software.
NABH consultancy
The ORALZY team also helps clinics get accredited: gap check, documents, staff training, mock assessment, and support through the NABH application and assessment day. It is one package, quoted on a call. NABH itself grants accreditation; ORALZY does not.
