Medical & AI Disclaimer

ORALZY is a clinic-management software platform. It is not a registered medical device under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 or the Medical Device Rules, 2017, and it is not CDSCO-, FDA-, or CE-certified as a diagnostic device. All AI output is decision-support only. The treating dental practitioner remains solely and fully responsible for every clinical decision.

1. Decision-Support, Not Medical Advice

The Service may surface AI-generated suggestions, summaries, risk flags, and visualisations. These are intended to assist a qualified, registered dental practitioner — they are not:

a medical diagnosis;
a prescription;
a treatment plan;
professional advice; or
a substitute for clinical examination, imaging interpretation by a radiologist, or a doctor-patient consultation.

2. Clinician Remains Responsible

The licensed dentist (or other qualified clinician) using ORALZY in their clinic must:

independently verify every AI suggestion against the patient's clinical condition, history, imaging, and examination findings;
apply professional judgment before acting on any AI output;
obtain and document patient consent for AI-assisted analysis (template provided inside the Service);
maintain compliance with the Dentists Act 1948, the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, NABH/NABL standards, and any applicable state dental council rules;
ensure that the final clinical record signed off in the patient file reflects the practitioner's own determination, not raw AI output.

3. Known Limitations of AI Features

By using AI features the Customer acknowledges that:

AI models can produce false positives, false negatives, hallucinations, or biased output;
image quality, sensor calibration, patient positioning, and artefacts materially affect X-ray AI accuracy;
drug-interaction databases reflect publicly available data and may lag behind regulatory updates;
voice-note transcription may misinterpret regional accents, drug names, or numerical values;
treatment-plan and code suggestions are statistical, not normative — they reflect what similar clinics have done, not what is necessarily right for this patient.

ORALZY does not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular clinical purpose. Clinicians must treat AI output as a hypothesis to be tested, not a conclusion to be accepted.

4. Emergencies

The Service is not intended for use in medical emergencies. In any clinical emergency the practitioner must rely on standard emergency protocols and call appropriate emergency services. Reminders, automated escalations, and alerts inside the Service are best-effort and may be delayed or not delivered.

5. Pharmacy & Drug Safety Checks

Drug-safety, allergy, dose, and interaction checks inside ORALZY are advisory and based on data that may not be exhaustive or current. The prescribing dentist must independently verify dose, route, contraindications, and patient-specific factors before issuing any prescription, dispensing any drug, or administering any local anaesthetic or sedative.

6. Imaging & X-Ray AI (Veeransh AI)

X-ray AI features highlight regions of interest and suggest possible findings (e.g. caries, periapical changes, bone loss). They do not substitute for radiographic interpretation by a qualified dental radiologist or treating clinician. ORALZY makes no representation that the AI has been validated against a clinically significant data set for the user's specific patient population, imaging hardware, or anatomical region.

7. No Telemedicine, No Doctor-Patient Relationship with ORALZY

ORALZY does not practise dentistry or medicine. ORALZY does not establish any doctor-patient relationship with any patient whose records are processed in the Service. The doctor-patient relationship exists exclusively between the patient and the treating clinic / clinician using the Service.

8. Patient-Facing Outputs

If a clinic chooses to share AI-derived content with patients (e.g. AI-generated treatment summaries through the patient portal or WhatsApp), the clinic is solely responsible for ensuring such content has been reviewed and approved by a qualified clinician before transmission, and that the patient has been informed that AI was involved in its preparation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORALZY, its directors, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including loss of revenue, loss of patients, malpractice claims, regulatory penalties, or reputational harm — arising out of or in connection with reliance on AI output, irrespective of the legal basis of the claim. Aggregate liability is in any event capped as set out in the Terms of Service.

10. Reporting Errors

If you observe an AI output that you believe is materially incorrect, please notify us at [email protected] with sufficient anonymised detail for us to investigate. We treat AI-quality reports as a priority and use them to retrain models, but no individual reply or remediation is guaranteed.

11. Changes

This Disclaimer may be updated to reflect new features or regulatory changes. The version in force at the time of use governs that use. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
